Welcome to Albany Garden Share

We are still working out the best way to use this group but like the idea of having a forum where we can exchange ideas and meet up with people who would like to work our gardens, exchange experience and expertise, join gardening parties, or people who simply have gardens that need work.
Our focus is on growing more food in Albany, though of course flowers and other pollinator attractors are very important too.

Hello,
I live in Castro Valley and this group is the closest but it seems more southerly people are joining. Please let me know if anyone is near CV. I have a yard with some sad Swiss chard, great looking tomato bushes (2), and have started some zucchini from seed - the first batch was wiped out. These are not showing yet.

Hello everyone, I was wondering if there was room in your budding community for one more aspiring gardener. I actually live in far N. Berkeley, but so far only one Berkeleyan has responded to me and she is on the opposite end of town so it might be more practical to work with you all. I'm a student and propagation intern in the Landscape Horticulture department at Merritt College so I will likely have lots of veggie seedlings to contribute!
