I am very new to this...Bed Stuy close to Kosciusko Stop. My roommate and I have access to big rooftop and want to get it going. Will probalby start with some large pots, etc Anyone want to to use the space and offer some pointers?

So, anyone in the Ft. Greene/Clinton Hill/Bed Stuy area need a spare hand?

(I honestly don't know too much about gardening, and my free time is not ample, but I'm willing to pitch in now and then in exchange for having access to things now and then.)

Do you like food? Do you like food that's healthful and sustainably produced? Want to get involved in shaping the way food is produced and distributed locally?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, come to the first

I am a farmer interested in farming in brooklyn. I have been doing urban agriculture for the past 5 years professionally, 3 years in NYC, and am finishing a program in sustainable horticulture at UCSC. I am interested in farming multiple sites, as well as one large site, up to 2 acres. If you know of any sites in particular i would love to talk more. thanks!

We have a 550 square foot farm in Ditmas Park that we are installing. The homeowner is keeping 25% of the yield. We are looking for neighbors interested in the other 75%. We are growing all sorts of veggies, and we may be able to include some honey from a local beekeeper as well as some plums.

Let me know if you are interested.

Hello everyone,

I come here with both an interest in yardsharing myself (Prospect Heights) and to help spread the word about this group.

Thanks to a comment from LizM on the Brooklyn Food Conference/Coalition blog, I'm now aware of your existence! You might know that the BFC has started neighborhood meetings throughout Brooklyn. If you could attend your neighborhood meeting to tell others about hyperlocavore and other food-related groups you are involved in, that would be fantastic.

Many of the first meetings have already taken place, but second meetings will be happening very soon:

If you're interested in joining the Prospect Heights/Crown Heights meetings, send me a message.

Thanks!

Elizabeth! I'm coming Elizabeth!

Very cool Melissa!
Are there community organizations that will let you post about it, or maybe even craigslist. You can link to this page and invite folks.
Be well!

I'm in Bed-Stuy.
My father owns the house I live in, and I'm currently trying to make use of the yard, as well as make the house more visitor-friendly. There's a little "Sanford & Son" going on around here.
But, we'll see!
