We've tried a number of different ways to make this community viable. Some things have worked better than others.

In the past we ran a successful kickstarter fund raiser.

Members who contributed to that are now designated with this symbol for the hope they gave. We will be forever grateful for the support they so generously donated at that critical time.You folks enabled us to get a running start. We would not be here if it wasn't for you.

We also enjoyed the support of some Patrons with more to spare. These folks have this symbol for the fires they kept burning. We are still stunned by your generosity.

So. much. gratitude.

We will be asking members who can help to voluntarily subscribe to the site. The site will remain free but we will be dependent on the generosity of our members.

Those good people who become monthly Subscriber Supporters with be highlighted with this image unless they were part of the kickstarter campaign.

We are removing advertising from the site as we move towards a voluntary subscription model with the exception of our relationship with indiebound.org which allows us to send traffic to local bookstores. We will also continue to offer some discounts to members on our member discount page as some members have made use of this benefit!

We're here to help you build resilience block by block but we need your help to keep the site going!
