Due to a lack of experience all I can say is that I wish to garden without using chemicals or genetically manipulated seeds.
I want to eat what I grow and I can only say that my philosophy is to learn.

Little or no experience I am afraid. I can share my enthusiasm and that's about all right now.

Small Urban plot in NY

Just wondering if any of you guys have experience in this setting.
Do's, don'ts and all in between.
I am hoping to grow tomatoes which I have done before. I also want to grow peppers including jalapeno and bell peppers. Herbs would also be an additional bounty if possible.
I would like to ask you more experienced soil tenders is it possible to do a summer crop and a fall crop like turnips or potatoes?

Aslo You might want to repost this as a topic in the discussion area...The blogs seem to be a little isolated from the rest of the site.

Say hay to Kat!

Also - there's a link in the DIY section about things that grow really well in semi shade. Check that.

Hey YOU!

Thank you for joining! : D
If you are thinking about the back yard...those things you want to grow are all real sun pigs. Or did you find a new spot? You might look for'potato bags' and upside down tomato bags...for small areas.

So glad you joined us!
